June Pattern Pin Hop

Welcome to the first ever surface pattern design PIN HOP hosted by FIND NEW DESIGNERS, a new and fast growing online directory of independent professional print and pattern designers and the first of its kind. I’m proud to belong to this emerging group of talented designers.

What is this PIN HOP all about? Well, basically, close to 50 surface pattern designers picked one of the four PATTERNBANK’S A/W 2013/14 Trend Forecast Themes showcased on our PIN HOP board, and created a mini collection inspired by it. Unlike a conventional blog hop, the designs can all be found on one collective Pinterest board making it much easier to follow.

Members of the “Find New Designers” collective have pinned their patterns via the group’s Pinterest PIN HOP board. The idea behind it is to easily allow the viewers to click on the designers’ images and to direct them to their favourite designers’ blogs/websites/portfolios to learn more about them.

Also, you can easily share, like, comment and save the designs onto your own Pinterest boards for inspiration and simply enjoy the visuals.

My inspiration for these designs was the “Midnight Garden” theme. I love the rich midnight blues, turquoise and the hot orange in this palette.

From here you can return to the group’s Pinterest PIN HOP board to view and follow all the designs, or continue on to the blog of the next designer from the group Ellie Fidler and enjoy her designs.

Thanks for visiting, and please feel free to re-pin and share all your favourite designs.

Tina Olsson of FYLLAYTA came up with the fabulous idea of the Pin Hop which is rapidly being hailed as a brand new social innovation! Thank you Tina for all your hard work!
